On February 15, in the first week after new-year holiday in 2017, STEC ushered in the most prospective market--the Burmese partner in Asia. Li Songzhi, the chairman of Burmese International Trade Promotion Association and Myanmar Jinshan Group visited STEC. Zhang Yan, the party secretary and president and Yang Lei the vice president of STEC attended the meeting. They discussed the cooperation between Chinese and Burmese markets.
In the meeting, Li Songzhi made the introduction of Myanmar Jinshan Group. Myanmar Jinshan Group was founded in 1970s by the some Chinese, which is a multi-functional international business group in real estate, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure, import and export trade, medicine and manufacturing. It has invested or participated in the state key projects such as the construction of Burmese Broadcasting Station, the Central Bank Building of Burma, and the Convention Center of the ASEAN summit. It has significant leading role and market influence in the industry.
Li Songzhi said that the core technology and many projects of STEC are very impressive. The infrastructure construction is significant in both China and the world. In recent years, Burma has gradually started in its infrastructure construction and many infrastructures need replacing such as hydraulic engineering, electric power and transportation. We hope that the Chinese enterprises can develop in Burma and the Shwe Taung will join hands with STEC to explore multi-cooperation to develop together.
Zhang Yan said that the meeting and communication between the leaders of both sides build a good relationship and will lay good foundation for the future wide cooperation. As a business specialized in municipal infrastructure construction and management, STEC has provided 30 cites with consultations and plans. It is richly experienced in the related area and sophisticated in technology. We strongly wish to offer superior service for Burmese people and clients with our core advantages.
In addition, STEC has invested nearly 100 billion Yuan in infrastructure construction in China. It has constructed such large investment projects such as the Airport Line of Nanjing Metro, Line 2 of Kunming Metro, and Line 5 of Nanjing Metro. STEC wish to explore how to infrastructure investment in Burma with reference to the policy of "the Belt and Road."
At present, the Chinese government encourages the state-owned enterprises to invest overseas and STEC feels optimistic on its development in Burmese market. The company will join hands with Myanmar Jinshan Group to have a mutually beneficial cooperation based on this meeting.
