On March 22, Shanghai City Committee of CPC and Shanghai municipal government held the 2016 Science and Technology Award Conference, in which STEC was awarded 8 science and technology progress awards including 1 first-class award, 3 second-class awards and 4 third-class awards. The first-class award is awarded to The Key Technology of Integrative Concrete Structured Project in High-Rise Residence Fabrication and its Application; the second-class awards are awarded to The Key Technology and Integrative Modeling in Greenery Construction of Disney Project, The Key Technology of Large-Volume Solid Waste Reuse and its Industrial Application to Space Enclosing Structure of Green Building, and The Key Set Technology of Tunnel Construction by Super-Section Rectangular Pipe-Jacking and its Application; the third-class awards are awarded to The Innovative Construction Practice of Concrete Balance Shield with Super-Diameter and its Application, The Integrative Technology of Smart Shield Rebuilding, The Application of Photo-Electric Technology in Falling Head Permeability Test, and The Low-Carbon and Multi-Function High-Efficiency Set-Equipment and its Craft in Eliminating Super-Deep Obstruction Piles. Up till now, STEC has obtained 27 science and technology progress awards in the past three years.
The Key Technology of Integrative Concrete Structured Project in High-Rise Residence Fabrication and its Application, awarded the first-class award has made many important breakthroughs in new construction system research, the technology of structure tension performance and design, assembly construction and structure innovation.
The Science and Technology Progress Award of Shanghai is set up by the municipal government of Shanghai, which is usually awarded to the citizens or organizations who have made great contributions in applying and popularizing advanced technological results and attaining great scientific and technological engineering, programs and projects or who have made prominent economic or social benefits.
