STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd. once again wins India Metro Project, marking a new stage of development in Indian market

On Oct 14, STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd., with rich project management experiences, powerful technologies and excellent reputation, won the tender for bid section CC-126 of Delhi Metro in India, with bid price at 3.349 billion rupees (around RMB329 million) .

This is the first time that STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd. independently participates in bidding in India in the name of “Indian Subsidiary of STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd.”, unlike the previous practice that the company used to take part in project bid and construction by setting up a joint venture with a local company. The victory makes the company the first Chinese enterprise that has won the tender for metro construction project in India as an independent general contractor of design and construction, displaying the company’s good momentum for growth in Indian market and marking a new stage of development of the company in India.

STEC SUCG International Engineering Co., Ltd. entered Indian market in 2006. It won the tenders for metro section CC05 and metro section CC27 in Delhi market in 2011 and 2012 respectively, explored Chennai rail traffic market and Mumbai rail traffic market in 2010 and 2016, and undertook the construction of Chennai Metro Phase One project and Mumbai Metro UGC01 and UGC07 projects. Apart from rail traffic construction, the company also turns its attention to water affairs governance market. In 2016, it succeeded in winning the tender for comprehensively realigning Amanishah Nallah in Jaipur, India. This was the first time that the company undertook water governance projects in India and marked its successful exploration of a new type of business in the Indian market.
