Creating an Ideal Life

STEC Exhibited on Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo 2017 to Show the Smartest and Coolest Future City!

2019-02-19

From October 31 to November 2 2017, STEC exhibited on Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo 2017 to show how smart infrastructure fitted into every corner of city life to government, owners and public spectators and lead the audiences to meet the smartest and coolest future of the city.

Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai TV, Dragon TV, Shanghai people’s Broadcasting Station, Shanghai Transportation Radio Station, Jiefang Daily, Xinmin Evening News, Shanghai Morning Post, Labor Daily, Youth Daily and other mainstream media did detailed reports!

During the exhibition, Xue Chao, deputy director of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Huang Rong, deputy secretary of Shanghai Municipal Government, Cui Minghua, secretary of the Party Committee of Urban Construction and Traffic Work, Huang Yongping, director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-rural Development, Pei Xiao, deputy director of Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction Commission, Chief Engineer Liu Qianwei, Chairman Zhang Yan, secretary of the Party committee of STEC, President Zhou Wenbo, deputy secretary of Party committee, and members of leading group of STEC visited the exhibition zone with relevant leaders of China Association of City Planning, Architectural Society of China, Municipal People’s Congress Urban Construction and Environmental Protection Committee, Municipal Political Consultative Conference Population Resource and Environment Construction Committee, Municipal Green Building Association, etc.

BIM+GIS platform: 3D infrastructure “Amap”
BIM+GIS foundation platform, developed by STEC Shanghai Underground Space Architectural Design & Research Institute, is like the “Amap” of urban infrastructure. But the difference with normal maps is that it is fully three-dimensional and brings together the BIM model of the city’s major infrastructure, from road repair works near residents’ homes to ten billion-level “Project No.1” Shanghai North Cross Passage. Both the completed projects and the projects under construction can be seem complete pictures and geographical location information of their 3D BIM models on this platform, so as to provide more intuitive, truer and more accurate recommendations of decision-making analysis for the construction and management of the city.

Meanwhile, BIM+GIS foundation platform also has powerful secondary development potential. Just like the secondary development and application of Amap in taxi-hailing and navigation software, GIS+BIM foundation platform can achieve various functions after “transformation” and is the “cornerstone” of urban smart transportation.

Smart operation and management platform: Gather the city’s transportation infrastructure operation, management and maintenance
The smart operation and management platform developed based on the BIM+GIS foundation platform brings together the information of municipal transport facilities operation, management and maintenance, which is in charge of operation and maintenance of Shanghai Urban Construction Urban Operations (Group) Co., Ltd. From the whole city’s road closure state, maintenance work state, personnel on duty information to the health of infrastructure, all information is convered on the platform. As long as the manager opens the smart operation and management platform every day, he or she can quickly acquire the status of urban operation and management, and then organize and allocate resources to carry out maintenance.

CJ-TIMS platform: “AlphaGo” for urban services
CJ-TIMS platform is the “AlphaGo” in the field of urban infrastructure construction and operation. The CJ-TIMS platform developed by STEC Shanghai Urban Construction Design & Research Institute can collect smart perception devices installed in all corners of the city in real time and realize “smart decision-making” through data aggregation of the sensing devices. On the smart operation and management platform, operation managers can quickly find out the road water-logging situation. After the relevant data are gathered to the CJ-TIMS platform, the platform can predict the “probability of next day’s water-logging situation” by collecting meteorological information and historical data, providing the most reliable assistant basis for city managers’ decision.

Generate BIM model by one click: UAV+BIM=New direction for urban construction
In this Expo, STEC Shanghai Road and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd. and STEC Shanghai Urban Construction Design & Research Institute displayed the new urban construction direction brought by UAV+BIM technologies. By carrying multiple cameras that can record satellite navigation coordinates and take thousands of photos in an area, the UAV can generate the BIM three-dimensional ground model around the road project by “on click”. After that, the BIM model is put into such a virtual “real” environment, which can realize the organic integration between the project and the surrounding environment and improve the quality of engineering design and construction.

At present, the technology has been applied in Shanghai Kunyang Road Bridge, Chongming Ecological Road, Beiyan Passage. After surveying and mapping the municipal road of 70km, the accuracy of three-dimensional solid model established by STEC has reached 2cm, which is the highest in China. The speed is 400 times faster than manual mapping and model building, which not only shortens the construction period, but also minimizes the project’s ecological impact and resource consumption.

Smart facilities: inspection well lids and overpasses “can talk and send alarm”
Road water-logging, shortage of inspection well lids, ultra-high vehicles illegally on the overpasses... The “minor ailments” occurring on city roads can interfere with citizens’ travel. How to detect and handle at the first time? On the Expo, Shanghai Urban Operations Group’s “smart inspection well lids” and “laser video for ultra-high vehicles in the driveway” based on narrowband IoT technologies attracted public attention. These two devices are less than the size of a palm, one can detect abnormal road water-logging to send risk alarm at the first time; the other can monitor ultra-high vehicles and timely inform the maintenance and traffic police departments to conduct linkage activities, which is equivalent to installing “mufflers” on the roads. After the occurrence of potential disease risks, they will “sense alarms” themselves, and gather the most accurate information to the smart transport platform at the first time to ensure the safety of travel.

Smart factory: intelligent and skilled production base of prefabricated bridges
What does a smart factory look like? STEC Shanghai Urban Construction Municipal Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. brings to the audience the “smartest” prefabricated component production base in Shanghai. With the help of the unique advantages of BIM technology and digital control platform, STEC Shanghai Urban Construction Municipal Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. can realize the visualization browsing progress of the prefabricated components, visualization of monitoring the production process, especially for prefabricated components with high accuracy requirement. with the help of intelligent measuring and BIM model, the accuracy deviation can be compressed to 2mm or less. In addition, various functions such as intelligent aided design, collaborative production management platform and MES have been realized.

Planning and management thousands miles away: Remote control of shields thousands miles away! Shield control center
Shanghai, as the longest rail transit city in China, has hundreds of subway shields traveling underground at the peak. STEC Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd., the total length of which is more than 790 kilometers, give full play to technical advantages in shield tunnel construction and management experience. Based on “Internet+”, “big data” intelligent control mode of construction, it built the multi-functional, multi-mode control system integrating “construction management” and “shield machine equipment management”. This system not only realizes the remote management of construction, but also enables technicians to sit in the Shanghai offices to monitor and manage the shield construction projects in Zhengzhou, Zhuhai and even Singapore and India. It can also dynamically analyze, conduct risk alarm in real time, provide intelligent decision in time, and realize full life cycle management for shield machine equipment.

Smart green construction: “Internet+industrial production”
With technological innovation as the driving force, the “IGREEN” subordinate to STEC Shanghai City Building Material Co., Ltd. integrates the production of prefabricated components and industrial management experience for more than 20 years, and integrates the industrial chain with “Internet+industrial production”. Efforts should be made to build “zhaopc”, a service platform for industrialization of prefabricated buildings, and to truly realize the standard industrial system of PC industry from design and production to installation and decoration.
