On July 2, 2018, STEC released an announcement of the listed company, which says STEC Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. has been chosen as the first bid candidate of the two projects of "the general contracting bidding section of Phase 2 project of Hangzhou Metro Line 4" and "two bidding sections of the Huancheng North Road-Tianmushan Road (Zhonghe Interchange-Gucui Road) upgrading and renovation project". The total amount of the order is more than 7.4 billion yuan. This also marks that the amount of orders that STEC has won in the field of rail transit in Hangzhou exceeds 10 billion yuan.
These two projects are not only the major livelihood projects that facilitate the travel of the citizens, but also the most important transportation supporting projects that matter the national and city image during the Asian Games with their unique geographical location and role played in connecting the east and west urban area of Hangzhou and running through the Wulin Square in the center of Hangzhou where the Zhejiang Provincial Government seats.
